Have you ever walked into a home that instantly feels happy?  Or, maybe you’ve had the experience of walking into a home where the inhabitant is awash with grief and the darkness and sadness just envelopes you?  Well, I have, in just the same way that I read people’s aura’s, simply crossing the threshold into a home that is either happy or sad, balanced with good energy flow or suffering from blocked energy flow I know what is going on in that home.

Blocks of flats are harder to read; frequently the stairwells are packed with stale energy.  Yet, other blocks; usually where wealthier people live are inviting.

One of the best ways to lift the atmosphere of your home is to utilize the healing power of crystals.  Carefully considered placement of the right crystals supplied by a crystalologist who has cleansed the crystals of old energy before sending them to you makes a frequently quick and surprising difference to the home.

The placement of the crystals depends on the direction your home faces and what you want to achieve.  One thing is certain cleansed crystals in your home work for you to set the atmosphere and energy.  They can help you by removing a feeling of being blocked; to achieve your goals; relieve anxiety; improve energy levels; bring balance; help relationships; cleanse the air.

I am almost boring when it comes to how great amethyst is!  It’s an all round go to for me and comes up trumps again and again.  For your living space an amethyst crystal works to both soothe and stimulate your mind and emotions.

Amethyst also balances the atmosphere and purifies the air and amplifies the power of any other crystals you place close by.  For your living space I recommend an amethyst crystal cluster or geode placed in a prominent location.

There are several options for the kitchen.  A couple of favourites that I recommend are Rose quartz and Clear quartz.

A simple sun catcher hung in the window or wind chimes that feature real, genuine, authentic clear quartz crystals keeps the energy good and clean.  Rose quartz also featuring on the sun catcher brings the added bonus of love and harmony into the space.

Carnelian is one of the best for personal stability and stimulates motivation and creativity.  Great for when you’re tired and have to create a meal after a long, hard day.

When you don’t want hanging crystals in your kitchen space then a clay or porcelain bowl containing tumble stones will work to improve the atmosphere of the space.  A selection of clear quartz, other genuine white or light quartz, rose quartz and carnelian make a nice display and bring positivity and creativity into the space.

The bathroom is a place of cleansing and a space that can often be forgotten when improving our homes.  It is also the space in Feng Shui where finances could be lost depending on the location of the room in the home.  One of the best ways to cleanse the space is to utilize cleansing aromatherapy oils to cleanse the air and place crystals in the room to bathe the room in positivity.

Crystals for positivity include rose quartz and clear quartz.  A great option for the bathroom is aquamarine, the colour of the sea; so perfect for the watery aspect of the bathroom.  Aquamarine also has calming and stress relieving properties making it a perfect choice for the bathroom.

Zeolite is cleansing and absorbs bad odours so if odour is a problem in your bathroom two or three zeolites work well to purify the air.

It is vital that your front entrance is welcoming for guests, yet it must protect you from unwanted forces.  Tourmaline is a great option to have at the front door.  Hang it from a hook on the inside of the door or if you are afraid of bad energy getting into the home through the front door then a tourmaline wand pointed towards the door is perfect for this area.

To welcome guests and especially useful when selling your home fluorite removes negativity and creates a welcoming feel.  Green fluorite is especially good to have in the front entrance area. Don’t stick to just one stone, fluorite will be most effective if you have three tumble stones together of different shapes and colours, just be sure to ensure that one of them is green.  Display them individually or together in a bowl.

Rose quartz is the perfect choice for the bedroom, not only is it a soothing pale pink colour but it’s the crystal of love. Rose quartz helps connect to angels and ancestors as you sleep.  It’s one of the best stones for increasing metaphysical connection.

A great option for revitalizing relationships and increasing female sexuality is chrysocolla; it’s a green crystal that also helps with PMS symptoms, and supporting female sexual organs.

Amethyst is also a good choice for the bedroom when used together with rose quartz, placing crystal chip bracelets one of each over a bedside lampshade ensures that the amethyst amplifies the power of the rose quartz and together they balance the energy and intentions of the room.  Be mindful of using amethyst on its own in a bedroom as it is also known to calm passion – something you may or may not want!

There are many options of crystal for a teenager’s bedroom.  The teenage years are a time of turmoil, change, discovery, learning, creativity and more.  Often there is the need for focus, clarity and emotional support.

To be honest with you, it’s not a location I like to generalise, but crystals are so incredibly helpful for teenagers that I have to include the crystals for teenager’s bedroom here.

Generally, any of the stones I recommend for ADHD and ADD will help any teenager by helping with turmoil.

• Dalmatian stone has calming influences
• Hematite provides balance and stimulates concentration and focus
• Howlite reduces stress, helps against insomnia and reduces stress and anger
• Blue chalcedony aids with learning and increases optimism and flexibility

Children benefit from jolly sun catchers that include real, genuine crystals.  Anything that will soothe them with a rainbow of colour during daylight hours is helpful for soothing.

Blue lace agate is calming and gentle.

A good option for encouraging creative expression, artistic tendencies and respectful love is celestite.  Celestite is best used as a geode and comes in shades of blue, white, orange, yellow, red and a red-brown.  Celestite helps with dream, dream recall, but most importantly helps with overcoming the stress of nightmares.

Malachite

Amethyst and any quartz are great options for a single adult’s bedroom.  Smokey quartz is good for dream interpretation.  Sodalite is great for balancing metal health.  A zebra tumblestone placed close to the bed helps with dry skin issues.  Malachite close by for an hour before bedtime and then held in your hand as you fall asleep is a great option for insomnia.

When the back door is your main entry point it’s important to leave any negative energy outside when you come in.   A tourmaline wand pointed towards the door helps you to shed of negativity as you enter.  A genuine crystal sun catcher in the space helps to cleanse the area and instil positivity.  If you are unable to hang a sun catcher in this area then a bowl containing sea pebbles and at least one of the light coloured quartz crystals will be effective in the back door location.

Crystals for Your Home to Help Encourage a Quick House Sale

When used correctly, crystals are an important contribution to the wellbeing of the home and those who live there.  There are many ways that crystals help us and that includes when selling our homes.  Here are some tips to use crystals to help achieve a quick house sale:

Tourmaline

Using tourmaline at the front door helps to give a good impression to those entering the home for the first time.  That includes potential buyers.

Fluorite

Fluorite is welcoming and beautiful and removes negativity all which enhances the entrance area of any home.

Amethyst

An amethyst crystal as a statement in the living room brings calm and balance to the room.

Aventurine

Placing aventurine within the home that is for sale can be helpful because it aids with quick decision making, aids relaxation and brings balance.

Citrine

There are many myths surrounding citrine, but the first thing to ascertain is that what you have and believe is citrine is the real deal.  Other quartz crystals are frequently heat treated to turn them yellow and orange to look like citrine.  This may explain the reason why for some people the citrine doesn’t help them as they expect it will.  Citrine is a must have option if you are having trouble selling your home or want a quick sale.  A large citrine geode prominently positioned in the main living space or close to the entrance will enable this crystal to work its magic.  If buying and displaying a large citrine geode is out of the question then a genuine citrine tumble stone placed in every room of the property for sale should have the same effect.

Tiger’s Eye

Tiger’s Eye in the space where you intend to answer questions and have prospective purchasers dwell is one of the best options for a speedy house sale.  Tiger’s eye is a feel better stone, but it also represents new beginnings and go for it.  It also brings wealth, balance and calmness.  You could wear tiger’s eye jewellery for the same effect when you are showing perspective buyers around the house yourself.
